"Plausible Liars" addresses the issue of transgender policies and transitioning among children. The topic is controversial and thought-provoking, and I am always open to delving into such topics. I like that the author provides sources for supporting and opposing gender transition. I will definitely read this book. Congratulations on BOTD!

The author tackles the touchy subject of gender transition for children. The novel features a teen wishing to detransition after 8 years on hormone blockers. The emotional turmoil in the unfolding events will keep readers glued as they immerse themselves in the dilemma of the adults who orchestrated the situation.

Thank you for this insightful and comprehensive review of Lin Wilder’s *Plausible Liars*. As someone new to this book, I truly appreciate the detailed overview you've provided. It’s clear that Wilder tackles complex and timely social issues with nuance and depth. Your mention of the vivid, unpredictable story and well-explored character motivations has piqued my interest. The balance of perspectives, especially concerning such a sensitive topic, sounds commendable. I’m also intrigued by the role of faith and the positive depiction of Catholicism in influencing the characters' decisions. Transitioning and detransitioning are sensitive topics, and I feel it is not possible to give an answer one-fits-all. A book where the ideas are based on Christian belief, is likely to not use the correct arguments for me to have an opinion.

This type of story can be a great help to those finding their way in the world, if the author is sensitive and thoughtful. The reviewer thinks that this story can help those attempting to make sense of religion, in this case Catholic, and the gender identities of someone who is still searching for their true self. There is a small percentage of the population that is conflicted as to their true gender self. Since these people are all related to others who love them, there are many people who need to question and understand the conflict within their friend or relative. "Plausible Liars" by Lin Wilder, may assist in understanding and may bring the questions or even the answers that are needed.
If you're going through hell, keep going.
