The detail about the Swedish and US embassies' responses adds another layer of complexity and realism to the narrative, reflecting the bureaucratic hurdles often faced in international incidents.

Thank you for that brilliant review. The book looks interesting, with narratives about Nigeria, and found it amazing that the Nigerian Naira was worth more than dollar at that time! The book is a heavy and serious read, and will be enjoyed by all those who like a bit of modern history.

Congrats to the BOTD and BOTM author. Reviving the history of the June 27, 1976, rescue at the Entebbe airport in the book is interesting to read. I am also certain that, because of the perfect OBC and Amazon ratings, the author's writing and delivery are excellent.

I have a lot to learn about Nigerian history and politics, and will definitely read this book to find out about the disappearance of Mr Nachman. The fact that the book is based on true events gives it additional flavour.

This is just the kind of historical/political book I enjoy when reading non-fiction. Having had some interesting experiences with embassies in recent years, I'm not surprised that there were issues along the way. This is a terrific review, and it's tempted me enough to grab a copy of the book and dive in.

This is a compelling and well-written review that has piqued my interest in reading "Quest: Finding Freddie" by Thomas Richard Spradlin. The reviewer does an excellent job providing historical context and setting the stage for the intriguing disappearance of Mr. Frederick David Nachman in 1976 Nigeria.

The reviewer highlights several aspects of the book that make it sound quite engaging - the author's vivid descriptions, deep exploration of Nigerian history and politics, character development, and overall sense of suspense and adventure. I appreciate the reviewer's balanced perspective, noting both the positives (the author's sincerity, attention to detail, and educational value) as well as a few minor editorial issues.

Your review excellently captures the essence of Quest: Finding Freddie. The way you highlighted the historical context, particularly the tense atmosphere in Nigeria following the assassination of General Murtala Muhammed and the Entebbe Rescue Mission, sets a compelling backdrop for the book's events. This context is crucial in understanding the stakes and dangers faced by the protagonists.I wholeheartedly agree with your rating of five out of five stars for this captivating and educational read.
