I love romance and mystery, but the part where Alice discovers the skeletons sounds a bit scary for me. I'm both curious and a bit hesitant to read it.

Thanks for the great review. I'm glad you enjoyed it and the editing was impeccable. From sampling the book, I also thought it was well-written and interesting. I'm curious to know how the relationships between everyone turn out. I enjoyed how easy it was to read it. After reading your review I have decided to add it to my list of books to read.

In Mayflies by Pam Keevil, I liked the elements like money, death, and love intertwined in the story and how intriguingly they moved the story to the end.

Thank you for your great review on "Mayflies" by Pam Keevil. This sounds like an interesting read beginning with the mystery of finding a woman's and child's skeleton in the river. The book discusses the theme of a mother’s love for her child and how the death of one’s loved one can have a significant impact on the lives of those left behind: the longing to have them around, their memory, and all they left in the world. It also talks of a grandchild's love for her gran to have her back just one more day. The book is temporarily free on Amazon and after reading the sample on Amazon, I decided to put it on my shelf to read. Congratulations to the author for BOTD.

Mayflies by Pam keevil, seems to be a good book which shows the emotional blend which face in our lives. Mystery is the point which interests me to read this book. Mother's love is also an element which makes it a good book.

Alice discovered the skeletons of a woman and a child who are said to have been dead for decades. Landowner Luke was informed about the gory event, and he had to visit the village and get things sorted to get the development back on track, but Ruby had lost her grandmother to the cold hand of death after suffering from dementia. Luke met Ruby at her grandmother's burial, and this marks the beginning of their relationship. How will the Luke, Alice, and Ruby relationships unfold? The reviewer loves how the author gives a perfect awareness of time and place at the beginning of each chapter. The author maintains the suspense in the book until the last word, and that adds to the thrill of the book. The reviewer recommends "Mayflies," by Pam Keevil, to fans of the mystery and romance genres:
This book seems to have a good balance of mystery and romance in a close-knit village atmosphere.

The book is a mystery and a romance? I guessed it was mystery from the cover, but I could not guess the romance element. Thanks for the review, it gave me an idea of what to expect in the book with a strangely alluring cover.

Your review has piqued my interest. The intrigue from the skeleton discovery at the beginning brings the characters together. I love good mystery stories. The suspenseful plot and well developed characters are always appealing. But romance isn't my thing. Thank you for a nice review.

“Mayflies” by Pam Keevil follows Alice Tanner's discovery of decades-old skeletons by a river, leading landowner Luke Carlyle to investigate. Meanwhile, Ruby Allen mourns her grandmother's death. Luke and Ruby's relationship begins at the funeral. The novel explores themes of love, loss, and power with strong character development and suspenseful storytelling. Thank you for a great review.

This seems like a really intriguing and suspenseful narrative. We can all connect to the delicate and complex issue of the relationships that develop within families. It will also be fascinating to see how the people' lives are complicated by the finding of the dead bodies.

Mystery and romance is a great combination. I love that all their stories intertwine. I wonder if any of them have anything to do with the skeletons found. I'm looking forward to finding out.
