Thank you for the thorough review! It's great to hear that the book provides valuable insights and personal experiences, though I'm concerned about the potentially offensive content you mentioned. Despite that, your high rating and recommendation make me curious to read it and explore these sensitive topics further.

Thank you for your honest review. I'm glad that you liked the book for the most part. From the sample, it did seem the author wrote it simply and admitted how he felt and believed. As you said, I did like how he gave examples to make the reader think and also admitted that with some definitions he could fit into the categories too. I think this is a thought- provoking read for those interested in the history of racism, prejudice, and tribalism.

Informative books, such as this one, are necessary for the collect to digest because once you are aware, then you can make sure you do not repeat a pattern of prejudice, racism and tribalism. I cannot wait to get this book because the message is necessary.

This is an amazing review. I like that it warns black people of the parts they may consider offensive before they start reading. The book explains tribalism, prejudice and racism in a detailed and well thought out manner for any person who is willing to learn about these sensitive topics.

“Prejudice, Racism and Tribalism: A Primer for White People” by Anthony M. D’Agostino, MD is a book that covers three sensitive topics: racism, tribalism and prejudices, explaining each so that readers will understand the differences. Unfortunately, the author went too far when he states his feelings about racism stating that “we can agree upon” that it is better to be white than black. This could be offensive to a black person or any person of color. Sadly, many people learn prejudice as a little child. The spoils of war that occurred after many wars in history led to slavery, tribalism and rape. Some state legislatures have passed laws that ban the discussion of historical events in schools, so children will grow up with a different perspective on racism and slavery. Whitewashing slavery is not a wise decision since it is re-writing history. Read this book with an open mind.

I really appreciated how Anthony M. D'Agostino shared his own experiences with racism, tribalism, and prejudice in "Prejudice, Racism and Tribalism: A Primer for White People." It made the book feel more personal and relatable.

Definitely not my cup of tea, because I have no interest in the subject and enough understanding of "concepts of racism, tribalism, and prejudice" to know that I should avoid those sins at all cost. Sorry, I will have to skip this book.

These are indeed topics that permeate all of society, whether we acknowledge them or not. We have been influenced by our surroundings without realizing it:
'Prejudice, Racism and Tribalism: A Primer for White People, Anthony M. D'Agostino, MD, insightfully delves into three sensitive topics: racism, tribalism, and prejudices, breaking them down to the smallest bits. The author tackles prejudices, emphasizing their easy formation even in a young child, and emphasizes that most humans, in one way or another, carry certain biases against certain things. This book adequately discusses its concepts, and as such, I will recommend it to anyone who wants an honest view of these ideas.'
