"Retreat of Advanced Guidance for Stonewalkers (RAGS)" by T. Shalay Young is an interesting science fiction that tells a story that takes place on a nearby star, Sirius B.

The story focuses on Thomas (the leader of the Stonewalkers), his daughter Bee, and Golden, the leader of the rebels. Stonewalkers are inhabitants of the planet Sirius B, and most of them possess supernatural powers that can manifest at any time during their lives. Rebels, on the other hand, possess generic abilities; they try to acquire a Stonewalker's powers via mechanical devices and trickery. In the shadows, an unavoidable war is brewing between these two groups, a war that might prove fatal to both sides. Golden, a narcissist, seeks RAGS, an artefact she believes will enable her to rule the entire planet. Does she succeed? Find out in this exciting read.

One of the incredible strengths of the book is its story. The book tells a unique and captivating story. Another strength of the book is the illustrations and pictures implemented within the story; this makes imagining the scenes and keeping up with the ongoing events easy for readers. I must commend the editing of the book too. Although it contained some minor grammatical errors, they weren't significant enough to disrupt my reading experience.

Although the book has its strengths, it also has a few weaknesses. The first of such weaknesses is the poor flow of chapters. While I read the book, I noticed that the next chapter felt as if it was a different story entirely and in no way related to the previous one. A perfect example is Chapter 9 and Chapter 10 (I had to read Chapter 11 before I had an idea of what happened in Chapter 10). Another example is the fact that even after reading the book, I still don't understand what happened in the introduction (hopefully this will be addressed in a sequel). The second weakness of the book is its poor character utilization and development. A lot of characters that looked awesome and promising had very little to no role in this particular part, nor did they have a back story to help readers understand them more. This is another weakness I really hope will be addressed in a future sequel.

Overall, I'd rate the book 2 out of 4 stars for its unique story and illustrations implemented within the story. I deducted 2 stars as a result of the weaknesses I mentioned in the previous paragraph.
I'd recommend the book to readers who enjoy science fiction novels. The book isn't limited to adults alone, as it contains no profanities or sexual content.

This seems like a novel with a great potential that is hindered by its flawed development. More editing might fix the problems you mentioned, possibly with a professional editor who could guide the author. Thank you for your honest review!
