Re: The cover of the book

I like a book that has an interesting cover, but that's not always a selling point for me. The cover of the book could have nothing but the blurb on the back on it and I would buy it as long as the blurb seemed interesting.

I like an interesting cover but I always look at the title and description more.

A good cover will attract me to read the blurb on the back and see what it's about. I discovered some great authors that way.

I hate to admit it, but I definitely do judge a book by it's cover. If the artwork doesn't catch my eye, or if it seems a little corny, I tend to move on. I'm trying to get out of this habit because I know I've probably missed out on some great books because of my bias.

The cover and title are what catches my eye, but the plot summary is usually what will make me decide if I am going to read it or not.

The cover is what gets me interested in the book. If I don't like the cover, I'm less likely to pick up the book and actually read it.

Sometimes The book cover can present an exciting story within the pages. Those are the types of covers I enjoy.

I rarely read the whole book jacket or back of a book. I only like to know what it's generally about so then I can form my own opinions and be more amazed when things happened that I didn't know about. I think this also makes me read more books that I might not typically be drawn to.

I've been on b&n website looking through books I want to read. I don't know if you would say the title would be part of the cover but it's what I look for. If the title strikes me I check the reviews. Then how many pages it contains. I guess I'd say actual cover Dosent matter. Besides there's the same titles on different covers anyway.

I'm totally the person that judges a book by its cover. If I see a book with a nice cover, I usually always read it. The cover is usually what grabs me first or the title. I've been reading a lot of books lately on those factors alone, not even reading the back cover! Risk taker!

For me, its pretty simple. I browse a category I like, and pick books that have some nice design and all that, but my real decision comes down to whether I like what's written on the back cover/inside tab. 8)

I tend to be drawn by the cover too but it's not necessarily my main criteria. I usually read the resume to be sure.

I always am drawn in by covers of a book... especially when there's a hot guy on the cover of a romance novel :D But I'm sorry the blurb of the book has to back it up otherwise I will not waste my time reading it... no matter how hot Mr. Book cover guy looks!
