Kids using drugs within schools is such a complex topic, so it is worth reading a book that addresses that theme, helping shed light in so many directions. I would definitely love to read a book on this issue.

"Cruel Lessons" by Randy Overbeck begins with the death of four boys in a car accident on a school camping trip. Their death was not a coincidence, but a consequence of the consumption of a new type of drug. Soon, both the school and the local police begin to blame the teacher, Jennifer, because she showed a special interest in the four deceased boys.

It loos like an interesting murder mystery. I find that tattoos that make someone high is a unique concept and I am curious to find out who killed the boys. Thank you for your review!

As a parent of children who love temporary tattoos, the idea of them containing drugs is horrifying. However, due to your thorough review, I am intrigued by the plot and will add this to my bookshelf. Great job!

'This book deals with difficult but important topics. Drug use in schools continues to be a problem in the US and this story shows the effects it can have on families, schools, and children.'
This book has an interesting but serious theme.

Good review! Kids getting into drugs at an early age is becoming increasingly harder to control. The drugs, nowadays, are much more powerful and have other ingredients mixed in with them.

This book brings the issue of drug use to the forefront. I agree that measures should be taken to prevent deaths of young kids from excessive drug abuse. Congrats on botd!

A tattoo that gets someone high? Now that is unique. Schoolboards should absolutely be held responsible for what happens to children and how they gain access to these things, especially if they found out about it and choose to sweep it under the rug. Thanks for the great review!

It sounds like *Cruel Lessons* delves into some intense themes surrounding drug use and the repercussions within a school setting. Your review captures the essence of the suspense and complexity in unraveling the mystery, especially with the shifting suspicions and detailed character backstories. It's commendable how the author navigates such sensitive topics while keeping readers engaged with twists and turns. Great review!

I like the idea of the story, using the tragedy at the beginning as a platform. However, I didn't connect with the boys very well which started to turn me off the book, and I found some errors of missing words within the first few pages.
