I love crime thrillers, and ones set in schools which deal with drug problems have to be the most interesting ones. I read a sample and it was really gripping and fast-paced. I love that there are many suspects but you don’t know who it actually is till the very end, so thanks for sharing that in your review!

Thank you for such a detailed review of "Cruel Lessons." It's heartbreaking to read about the tragic deaths of the four boys, and the introduction of a drug in the form of a tattoo adds a unique and chilling element to the story. I appreciate your insight into the character development and the suspenseful plot twists that keep readers guessing. It's also commendable that the book tackles real-world issues like drug use in schools, which is indeed a pressing concern. Your review makes it clear that while the book is intense and deals with heavy topics, it's also a gripping and well-crafted mystery. I'll definitely consider reading it, keeping in mind the sensitive themes.

I enjoyed reading your review, Kristin! I sampled the book, and, like you, I noticed the suspense and the highly topical storyline revolving around drug use at schools. This is a gripping read for crime mystery fans who can stomach the sad events like death of children in the car accident.

School kids are especially vulnerable to peer pressure and may not always have the knowledge or resources to make informed decisions about drug use. I find this book to be timely, exposing the dark side of substance abuse and providing valuable insights on how to address it effectively in educational settings. I will read the book to gain a deeper understanding of the warning signs and effective prevention methods that can be implemented.

This seems like a thrilling crime/mystery story. It has so many themes that add suspense: smalltown intrigue, drug conspiracies, detective plot.
the book starts with every parent's nightmare: 4 kids dying due to street drugs. This devastates their town, so investigations and finger-pointing begins. Who was behind the drug trade?
Thank you for your honest review, in clarifying that there's many twists that make this a confusing book. COngrats on BOTD

From this review, I can tell that this book is full of suspense and has a satisfactory ending. The theme of drug abuse is relatable not only to youths in the USA but also worldwide. I look forward to following Jennifer's story and unveiling what happens finally.
