Congrats on BOTD! Roy Warren's Memoir of a Closet Christian, a Christian book, demonstrates that you're not alone in your Christian walk. The author describes how he became a Christian and lived a solitary life. This book will undoubtedly be beneficial to a large number of Christians.

I like the author also included his flaws. Editing is important when it comes to a book. Good editing ensures the readability of the book. As the reviewer suggested, editing could have made this book better in all terms.
Thanks for the review.

Religious conflict, both interpersonal and intrapersonal, is a key crisis that people encounter at different stages of their development. It's intriguing to read that Warren shares his conversion experience with transparency and sincerity. Congrats on BOTD.

I am not really a fan of memoirs, but this one seems different. I am genuinely impressed that the author discusses their faults so openly. I’m sure that the photos add a genuine aspect as well. Congratulations on BOTD!

This review highlights the compelling personal journey in "Memoir of a Closet Christian" but emphasizes the need for substantial editing to fully realize its potential.

It's unfortunate that the book's editing issues detract from its potential impact. A cleaner, more polished version would certainly do justice to Warren's heartfelt narrative and could help his message reach a wider audience.

I agree with you that this is a classic case of a good idea not being well executed. I read the sample pages on Amazon and immediately noticed the lack of editing. Nevertheless, I am very curious about this book, and I'm putting it on my to-read list.

An interesting Christian story. Being a love of this genre, I will explore this story not just for enjoyment but also for acquiring life lessons to impact my Christianity journey.

Even though the "Memoir of s Closet Christian" is not a book that I prefer to read, the content of the book seems to be informative for readers who want to know more about Christianity. Congratulations on the BOTD.

The book is clearly outlining the need for Christians to realize the essence of being truthful to themselves and coming out of the comfort zone of walking always in sin. The story of JESUS' resurrection is a clear indication that our LORD is in heaven waiting for us. The experiences of the writer show us that many Christians just go to church but continue living in sin. It also shows that going to church does not show if one loves GOD since one can go to church because it is a norm. I like the way the writer has used his example to show this and the fact that he used to go to church in search of companionship.
I have also learnt that parents have a mandate to ensure that as far as they are giving their children freedom of going out, they should check up on them to confirm that they are really going where they are supposed to. I feel like parents have the responsibility to even accompany their children in other occasions to church and give encouragement on the rightful way of living. When you give your child money try as much and make follow ups to find out how they spent in the day. This book also brings to play the effect of peer pressure among innocent individuals who get taken amiss by the worldly pleasures. I have learnt that the desire to be like other people can lead you to danger since you will end up living a life that is not yours thereby ruining your own self. I also see the emphasis of young adults and teenagers to be sensitised on the dangers of having sex before marriage through mentorship programs and counselling them. The church has to organize seminars where the youth come to hear of the word of THE LORD and thereby being nourished spiritually. The youth are so energetic and if not careful they shall use their energy in the wrong dimensions.
The book also has brought out the need for parents to have seclusion from their little children when they engage in love practices. It is a call for all parents to have their children in separate rooms to prevent moral decay of the child at a young age. If the child sees the parents performing love practices, he/ she may try the same to a mate whom they shall do the same things seen from parents together. Please parents let your children not see what you do in bedrooms. Slowly and slowly do their appetites to doing such formed and in the end the parent will have no one to blame for a child whose morals are eradicated. It is a high call for complete privacy of love portions among parent lovers in our society today.
The content is good but the writer has shuffled the message in a very unwelcoming manner. The writer has began the message of the book and suddenly starts to speak about himself. The biography should have been at the beginning of the book before the plot. Maybe it is a style but it becomes irrelevant with such a message.
The writer has also not considered equal spacing between words in the book. Some words are joined together yet each of the words is a noun.
I will give a 3 out of 5

Christianity is the biggest and the most followed religion in the world. Different Christians hold different views about Christianity. This book is about the author's view. Congratulations on the BOTD, and best wishes for future projects.

I enjoyed your review, Lina! And I fully agree with your comments. In particular, I agree that the idea of sharing the findings about the Pistis Sophia and the author's honesty about his flaws and his initial suppression of faith to manage the social conflict are solid and would benefit many readers interested in the Christian faith. But the editing flaws are the eyesores reducing the enjoyment of this well-meant and hard-worked piece of non-fiction.

I always find it interesting to read how people's conversion to Christianity occurred. It's a great pity that Christians have to hide their faith in some communities. The author should invest in a good editor and even some proof readers to do justice to his creation. It's disruptive to work around errors of the kind you mentioned in the review. Thank you for your review!

Great review! It sounds like Memoir of a Closet Christian offers a very personal and candid look into Roy Warren's journey with faith, which is refreshing. The connection with the Pistis Sophia and his transformation from hiding his faith to embracing it openly is fascinating.
