“Near the Danube Bridge: A Tale of Belief, Bravery, and Perseverance” by Catherine Allen-Walters is a broad story that blends family tales with historical events. Congrats on #BOTD!

The book has quite an intriguing title. Also, from the description of the main character, Kalman, I trust him to make wise decisions. I am looking forward to reading this book. Congratulations to the author on winning book of the day.

Thanks for the review! It sounds like a compelling and inspiring read. I haven't read the book yet, but I'm intrigued by Kalman's unwavering faith and resilience, especially during such tumultuous times. The inclusion of historical context, personal anecdotes, and photos seems to really bring the story to life. I'll definitely add it to my reading list.

The review offered valuable insights. The book appears intriguing, blending family biography with the history of World War II. I'm eager to delve into it to learn more about life during that period.

This is really amazing, and I am glad that the author included details of events and activities such as WWII, as this is one of the wars that will forever remain significant. It is sad to read that innocent civilians have always paid the heaviest price during wars, including WWII. The book is already on shelf.
Many thanks for the amazing review. :tiphat: :tiphat: :tiphat:

I am sorry to say, but I don't particularly enjoy reading accounts of family biography research, even, or should I say specifically, those taking place in troubling eras of world wars, because of the tragedy and suffering glimpsed from pages is of the charts. My own country had its own share in WW II as well as everyone's, I prefer to leave it at that and still congratulate the author on BOTD!

Kalman's story is a heart-wrenching and uplifting account of perseverance and faith, set against the backdrop of war, persecution, and immigration. The inclusion of photos and letters adds a personal touch, making this book a must-read for anyone seeking a story of hope and inspiration.

I can't wait to read what choice Kalman made between being an Evangelical or a Seventh-day Adventist. Thanks for your thorough review.

This is a family biography. I got to know a little bit about the story from the above well written review. It also talks about world war 2 and what happened actually with the family. Best wishes on the BOTD award.

Today's BOTD"Near the Danube Bridge" by Catherine Allen-Walters will definitely trigger emotions to its readers. It won't be easy going through wars, prison time and the chaos that comes with it and remain strong. This memoir is worth reading through. Great work.
