The author expertly weaves a narrative of military intrigue, international politics, and espionage, creating a thrilling story that keeps readers on the edge of their seats. The unique title, referencing Swedish cheese, adds an unexpected twist to the plot, symbolizing the unforeseen complications that arise during the mission. Nice review.

Spence has to go on a dangerous, top-secret mission to retrieve a package. When things go wrong, his sister is left worried about what happened to him. This book has a lot of suspense, as well as close family ties. Thanks for the great review!

he Vasterbottensost Affair by Robert Mucci describes a classified operation by Spence Michael Richardson who is a special forces soldier. As commander of a small unit of special forces operatives, Spence is instructed to go on a mission to get a package and ensure it's safe transport to the United States. The operatives came under attack in the course of the operation. Why happened next? This story is a key reminder that we must have a Plan B course of action to quickly handle things when faced with possible failure. Thanks for the review.

Definitely not my cup of tea, because the phrase "classified operation" sounds like a military term to me and, as a pacifist, I really dislike doing anything with this particular type of violence. No offense and congratulate with BOTD, anyway!

This sounds like an interesting espionage tale. I can imagine Spence doing all he can to fish out the mole responsible for jeopardising their mission.

A story about mission going wrong, full of intrigue and mystery. Not my kind of genre but seems well written.

"The Vasterbottensost Affair" by Robert Mucci is a novel about a classified operation that went down. Sondra Richardson and her brother Spence will be in the center of the event. While Sondra is an employee of a federal government agency, Spence is a member of the special forces.

Thank you for clearing up what the title refers to! From your review, I get the impression that this could be an exciting read. The sample that I read was intriguing, but it did not give me an indication of the plot. I do enjoy thrillers. The WWII period is also an interesting one.
