‘Life Shattered’ is a spine-chilling piece written by sandy Graham and being a psychologist, I must say that the poem is very touching and does an excellent job in explaining human feelings. The author of this novel, Graham, does a splendid job at painting a picture for the readers and developing the characters in the story. The helped storyline and the generally believable and often heart-wrenching performances maintain the viewer’s interest from the beginning till the end. If people adore literary Fiction and non-Fiction then this book should be on the list of their favorite ones.

Bullies can be extremely mean and scarring. I’m glad that Delbert found his support system through his math teacher and Sylvia. I feel drawn to this story based on how positively it has been described. Congrats on the BOTD!

I thought I was the only one going through traumatic experiences from school. Even though I didn't spare the bullies, I consider it an unforgotten, event. We all should look after our children both parents and teachers so we can stop this generational occurrence at school.

I appreciate your review. After reading it, I couldn't help but think about the widespread issue of bullying in our schools. I'm hesitant about reading a book that might leave me feeling down, but your review assures me that it is a positive story. I checked out some sample pages on Amazon and found myself quickly engrossed in the story. I'm eager to see how Delbert's life unfolds. Knowing that it's a positive story eases my worry about feeling sad after finishing the book. I've added the book to my to-read list. Thank you for your sharing; it's been very helpful.

I am always a huge fan of Gerry reviews, and this book brought tears to my eyes in the first ten pages. The fact that this man triumphed over bullying (my personal trigger issue) and managed to create such a life for himself - what a victory. Also, very interested in the content regarding the RAF, which I’m less familiar with than I am the USAF.

Life Shattered" by Sandy Graham is thought-provoking. It teaches the values of perseverance, courage, loyalty, kindness, acceptance and appreciation. Pretty much values that are nearly lacking in our present times.
The issue of bullying in learning environments where every child deserves to feel accepted and relaxed is still a sad reality today. Peer bullying reveals a failure by Parents and Caregivers to instil the value of empathy, understanding, tolerance and acceptance. I'm hoping we begin to get our parenting right as parents/guardians.

“Life Shattered” by Sandy Graham is a story about bullying children in high school. Delbert Pillage lived a awful life in high school where he was constantly teased by his peers because of his large and uneven ears, clothing and his frail body. The school bullies physically abused him and stole his lunches. Delbert was also a student with a gifted brain and a unique way of thinking. He had a close friendship with a lovely girl named Sylvia and his math teacher who noticed his abilities. Happily, Delbert’s story is very heartwarming and shows how he soared to new heights. This is a wonderful story that shows how students can overcome adversity and excel in school and in life. Bullies seem to remain bullies for life and probably are unhappy throughout their lives

Thank you for such a thoughtful and comprehensive review, Gerry! Your insights into "Life Shattered" by Sandy Graham really highlight the depth and emotional impact of the story. I appreciate how you captured the essence of Delbert's journey from adversity to triumph, and the role that support, resilience, and love played in his life. It's inspiring to hear about the realistic characters and the authentic portrayal of scientific research and aviation. Your review has definitely piqued my interest, and I can't wait to read about Delbert and Sylvia's experiences. Thanks again for sharing your perspective!

The book covers topics such as bullying, gifted education, career mindset, enduring love, and becoming a Royal Canadian Air Force test pilot. Thank you for a great review.

Four aspects of this review caught my attention. They are bullying, two lovers dedicating their lives to each other, becoming a pilot, and participating in a research project.
