Great review! It was very detailed and thorough. My father fought in that war, but never talked about it much. When I was a child, I use to like to remove the schrapnel that came out of his shoulder. Interesting book for war enthusiasts!

Not a fan of history when it comes to reading. Just by sampling, I realized there were numerous events that happened in an year which took me back to childhood memories of remembering the historical events & dates for examinations. The decision to have pictures of few incidents and battle field in the book shows author's dedication and sincerity in bringing the insider information about the war to the world.

War fiction is not my cup of tea, but the author did a great job collecting so much information and telling us the stories and the experiences of those brave men. Congratulations on becoming BOTD!

Your review is very insightful, Abraham! I sampled this book, and, like you, I enjoyed the captivating style in which Ian narrated the life stories of the WWII aerial combat veterans. I agree that this book is a great way to pass the history to young generations, and that this book will thrill the readers interested in the history of WWII.

It looks like the book showcases several courageous and personal stories of the 95th bombardment group and the war they had to endure. However I think I will skip the book for now. Thank you for your review!

It is difficult to discuss wartime experiences.  The veterans who shared their personal war experiences in this collection of stories deserve admiration for once again demonstrating courage. This time, it is not on the battlefield but on dealing with the emotions that come with remembering and writing about war memories.

It is great that the personal experiences of soldiers during World War II are documented and preserved for future generations. People must not forget how devastating war is and what a high price we pay for years after it has ended. The bombers played a crucial role during the war, although the fighter planes are usually featured in novels and accounts of WWII. I'm sure the squad members appreciate this tribute to their courage, sacrifice and honor. Thank you for your insightful review.
