No offense, it is nothing personal or has anything to do with the story itself. Sadly, it is because of the colour of Mexico used and my unpleasant experience with the country. I suppose the fans of crime thrillers will defeat the slow pace and start to enjoy the book. I also observed the role that law enforcement authorities play in crime. Their corruption makes and bends the rules to favor them and their friends.
