Quest: Finding Freddie by Thomas Richard Spradlin is a book about international business and politics. These two concepts work hand in hand. International business cannot thrive seamlessly when there is political tension in the country where the business is being carried on. This analogy briefly describes this book and its promises to be a nice read.

I bring you Fredrick David Nachman, also known as Freddie, who is a Swedish national and was the president of Nachman International Trading Corporation (NITC). On one of his business trips to Lagos, a state in the country of Nigeria, he vanished without any trace, which threw everyone into a state of confusion. However, Nigeria, as of then, was going through a political crisis and tension. However, there was a challenge as neither the U.S. State nor the Swedish Embassy could help due to Freddie's Swedish citizenship and long-term U.S. residency. What became of Freddie? Could he be a victim of the political tension going on in Nigeria?

This is quite a very suspenseful read with a politically rich narrative that was well explained. The challenges I do have while reading a book like this are over complexity and ambiguity. But then I never experienced such while reading due to how the author explained the book. The characters were also very well developed, and at the start of the book, the author had already defined each character's role, which made it easier to grasp from the onset. I also loved how every concerned person was committed to finding Freddie. The book was very organized for me; I didn’t come across any errors while reading, and I can say that the book was professionally edited.

The book's pace is uneven, for instance, when the part that has to do with Freddie and his business is fast while the political aspect is very slow and dense. This was the challenge I had while reading this book.

In terms of editing, this book deserves five out of five stars for delivering captivating content from start to finish. The challenge was a minor one. This book is very suitable for readers who are interested in international business and political thrillers.
