How weird is it to see Taylor Swift, who is younger than me, on the same cover as Elvis Presley? Music is a constant companion in my life, and this seems like a fascinating journey through the lives and art of the people who make this happen. Thank you for your review.

I sampled this book and I agree with your review and rating. I have yet to read the poem dedicated to Beyonce you mention in the review, but I read the Adele's and I also noticed the blend of good research and artistic prowess. It is an unusual book and deserves a perfect rating.

Beyonce is a relatively young artist. I wonder how the author chose his 50 legendary subjects. The poems should be interesting. Let me see if the book talks about any of my favorite singers.
