Review of Sent to Watch

Sent to watch is indeed an interesting Sci-fi novel. It has pieces of history intertwined with deep interstellar adventure. At first I thought we were in for a historic period novel, but then, the scene changes and the reader is on a spaceship. Is sounds odd but it’s actually really good.

The story highlighted issues of our world with the events that happened. It also opened my mind to the workings of the world we live in and the depth of selfish human interests. At a point in the story, the unity of purpose was divided with selfish interests attached to work. And this is a sort of enlightenment to the ways of the world we live in. And I see this as a positive aspect of the book. Reading the book was like seeing everything playing out before my eyes and at the same time happening in my mind. It was like I was a part of the story. This feature really impressed me.

This highlights something I often say: science fiction, as a genre, often works as a social barometer. It's a great way to look at our world's problems from a different perspective.

I agree with the reviewer that this is the best fantasy book to come across. I specifically loved the point where the author had to change the names of the characters visiting Earth 48. I think a bit of romance gives this book light moments and Unni is my favorite character.

Science fiction is not my cup of tea. I am amazed though by the detail mentioned by the reviewed, about switching between the native names and the names used on Earth 48. I like it that the author addresses issues we currently face in our world, bringing them up in a fantasy book is a clever way to make people think about it.

Such a great review. I love the book Interplanetary System and about multiple macrocosm. The author did well to diversify our minds not only on Earth but on the World and other planets in general.

Well done review! Admittedly this wouldn’t be a book Imd reach for right away, but as someone who’s trying to get into more sci-fi and fantasy stuff, this one may be a great contender in the future.

This is absolutely one of the most human things ever. We just can’t escape it! I’m assuming this brings a lot of realism to the story.
