Nope, the old ones generally go to friends or family. Some go to the local library.

I cannot for the life of me throw them away. I've seen children rip a book, and then I've had to up-cycle it with a project. Even books that I have no interest in, and others will not take for free.. they somehow find a way into one of my do-it-yourself designs. My children, and all children that visit get the "we respect books in this house" speech. My children are thankful however because we have a nice mini in-home library and they have many series they can pick from. It is one of our favorite things to do!

That's an interesting question, Anita :). I’ve never thrown a book away myself, but I know some people do when a book is damaged beyond repair or if it’s not something they think they’ll ever read again. Instead, I choose to donate or recycle books to give them a second chance.

No! I have never thrown a book away even if I think that the book is not good and not worth a read I give it away to someone rather than just throwing it away because it might not be to my taste that does not mean that it is a bad book it just means that it is made of someone other then me.
