Disasters happen in anyone's life without any prediction, and how to deal with them is an art and the topic of this book. Kat Finnerty, the author of this book, faced many disasters and offers lessons in managing disasters.

This is a memoir but with some very real life lessons to pass on in terms of how to deal with absolute turmoil in trauma. The author was in hospital for surgery when she found out her husband was having an affair with their friend to name but one of the situations. I liked the 12 principles at the beginning.

Getting to know that her husband had betrayed her on the day of her operation must have been devastating to Kat.

Thank you for the great review.

Reading of all Kat negative journey hurt me in my heart even though the book is non friction it gives women that doubt themselves have been in abused relationships hopes for better lives . I wish her father could have been a better man in her life and that would have gave her strength to look past what she first saw in her husband and best friend that eventually betrayed her.

Thank you for your great review. I'm glad that you enjoyed the book. It's nice that the editing was professionally done too. Her strength along with how well she persevered was awesome. I also enjoyed her writing style and how honest she was throughout the book. She had life hitting her from several directions at once and throughout her life. I especially enjoyed her telling about when she was born. I have added this to my list of books to read.

Every page of Kat's "Never Let a Good Disaster Go To Waste" is worth the read. Just like you pointed out, the non-fiction had enough tension to keep me hooked and engaged. From Kat's childhood to her marriage, life didn't seem to be fair to her. However, all I could see was a brave unyielding woman who was determined moved through those adversities. There is indeed a lot to learn from this book as well as find interest in.

In bad times do people show their real colors. I can feel for Kat how despite having a breakdown in her life she kept going. She didn't let her so called friend and husband ruin and break her. The book is story of struggle and winning in life for me.
