Kalliope Barlis’s book, Play Golf Better Faster: The Little Golf Bag Book, is a tell-all guide that is equipped with knowledge, steps, and good-quality advice to help you on your way to becoming a great golf player. Not only this, but it is also great for those already-developed golf players who wish to improve their game play. This book outlines golf, the meaning of it, the history, and the basics that surround game play, which enables beginners to understand the sport. If you are just starting out or wish to improve your overall performance, this book is for you!

In this book, the author begins by giving a short introduction to golf, highlighting what it is, the background, and the basic principles of it. This allows readers to understand golf and what is required to play it. Included in this book is the personal journey that Barlis went on to secure her future of being a permanent pro hiatus in this sport. She notes that she had to have the right mentality when practicing in this sport, but to understand this in more detail, you need to grab a copy of Barlis’ follow-up book and, of course, take notice in the middle of this book. The approach that Barlis takes helps beginners, such as myself, get a rough idea of how to pay for the sport and play it well, highlighting that you must practice a lot to ensure you improve your skills. She also puts emphasis on training and the importance of your mindset during the training sessions, as these can really help too. For more information and to dig deeper into the world of sport, most specifically golf, and to understand how to improve gameplay, this book is a must-read.

There are many positive attributes to this book. For instance, the language in this book is simple, straightforward, and easy to understand. Furthermore, there were no errors present in this book, neither typographical nor grammatical errors. This not only allowed me to have a clear reading of this book without any minor disruptions, but it also proved that this book's editing is of a professional standard. The writing style of this book is clear, straightforward, and most of all, fitting to this book. I liked how the author introduces the sport and its background, allowing readers new to the sport to understand what it is and how it came about. I liked how the author had used her own experiences with the sport and analysed them in great detail. I think from the experiences, readers such as myself began to understand Barlis, and she rose to the top tier in relation to this sport. I loved how she emphasised the idea of having a positive mindset, as I believe it helps to have a can-do attitude when it comes to reaching your own goals.

In relation to negative aspects, I do not believe there is anything negative to say about this book. The format is exquisite, and the language reflects the intended audience. The absence of any errors reinforces my belief that no issues require attention.

In conclusion, I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars. As mentioned above, I found nothing to dislike. The book was formatted well, and the and the information was clear and easy to understand. I managed to take many takeaways from it. I think that I recommend this book to readers who enjoy sports such as golf and wish to improve their own game play.
