Review of Play Golf Better Faster: The Little Golf Bag Book
Play Golf Better Faster: The Little Golf Bag Book by Kalliope Barlis is written for golfers and aspiring golfers who are willing to change their game for the better.
The author wrote about the mind of a golfer and how effective it is in our game of golf. Want to change your way of living? First, change your way of thinking; that is said to be a crucial step in becoming a better golfer. Neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) was written by the author to make one more aware of our five senses, which include seeing, feeling, hearing, smelling, and tasting. The awareness of these senses is to improve our way of thinking so as to improve our game of golf.
The author shared that it is scientifically proven that the brain cannot differentiate between what's being observed and what is performed. This means the brain can believe a person's thoughts, and since this is possible, it was advised to use this to our advantage and land our targets by practicing more with our thoughts. Techniques and how a golfer should be postured to hit the target were also written by the author to improve our skills as golfers.
I love the inclusion of the notes for golfers who are left-handed; that is so thoughtful of the author. The exercises given by the author are another thing that I love. It is one thing to read about improving your skills, and it is another to practice. The exercises are a great way to know where to focus while practicing. I have no criticism at all for this book, as it is well written for the better understanding of the reader.
I recommend this book to people willing to learn the skill of golf and also to golfers who want to bring out the best of their skills. I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars as I learned a lot of techniques to use to improve my skills in golf, and I also commend the author for the flawless editing in this book.
