Review of E M P Honeymoon
E M P Honeymoon Kelly & Tom by Dorothy May Mercer is a gripping and action-packed novel that kept me thoroughly engaged from start to finish. The story centers around newlyweds Sergeant Tom Turbulo and Kelly McBride, who find themselves caught up in a high-stakes adventure during their honeymoon at a resort in Honduras.
The plot takes an exciting turn when Kelly, left to explore the island alone while Tom is diving, stumbles upon a high-tech lab hidden behind a pigsty shop. This unexpected discovery unveils a sinister terrorist plan to attack the USA using electromagnetic pulses. Kelly's quick thinking and determination set off a chain of events involving her husband Tom and various special service agents, leading to a suspenseful investigation into the terrorists' plans.
One of the highlights of this book is the author's skillful storytelling. Dorothy May Mercer expertly balances action and romance, creating a fast-paced narrative that kept me on the edge of my seat. I particularly enjoyed the teamwork and camaraderie among the characters, as they pooled their skills and knowledge to thwart the enemy's plans.
The book also delves into the dangers of technology and nuclear warfare, highlighting the potential for destruction and the importance of vigilance and preparedness. The portrayal of the USA's President Bigelow as a wise and proactive leader adds an extra layer of depth to the story.
While the pacing felt a bit rushed at times, the overall narrative was captivating, and the detailed descriptions of scientific and military processes added to the book's realism. The editing was meticulous, with no noticeable errors, making for a smooth and enjoyable reading experience.
I couldn't find any reason to dislike this book. It was professionally edited with minimal errors. I highly recommend the E M P Honeymoon to fans of action-packed thrillers and those interested in technology, space, and national security. Dorothy May Mercer has crafted a compelling tale that combines suspense, romance, and heroism; this book earns a solid 5 out of 5 stars . This book is a rollercoaster ride of excitement and intrigue that will keep readers hooked until the very end.
