What classics do you find yourselves reading again and again? What is it that keeps bringing you back to those titles?

It is Pride and Prejudice. I identify quite a lot with Elizabeth, so whenever I feel down, I pick up P&P and read for a bit. Rereads depend on my mood, I may reread the full book, reread only my favourite passages and scenes or, my favourite, pick up my physical copy and have it land on any random page and read that.
I also have reread To Kill a Mockingbird quite a few times. I keep finding new depths in it with every reread.

It is the Art of Being Alone; when I feel the desire to talk to someone and go out, I reread this book, pat myself on the back, and let out my bottled feelings.

Animal farm by George Orwell will still be my preference. I have read it multiple times and will still love to read again.

To Kill a Mockingbird, every time I am sad or stressed, I grab my copy and suddenly I feel better. I also have this relationship with Uncle Tom's Cabin, ever since I read it back in school it became a comfort and favorite book.

I read and re-read Wuthering Heights probably once every 5 years. I first read it in 1978 after hearing Kate Bush’s song at 13.

Shakespeare, because the plays are so timeless, and a good escape into other worlds.

Pride and Prejudice is one of those timeless books that I find myself coming back to over and over again. The reason is simple: it’s a story that has everything—romance, wit, and characters that feel real.

At the heart of the book are Elizabeth Bennet and Mr. Darcy. Both are strong-willed characters who grow throughout the story. Elizabeth’s intelligence and independence, mixed with Darcy’s pride and eventual vulnerability, create a tension that makes us want to see how they’ll end up. Watching their relationship evolve from misunderstanding to mutual respect is always satisfying.

Jane Austen’s writing is another reason this book is so enjoyable. It’s full of humor, sharp observations, and clever dialogue that makes reading it fun, even when the themes are serious. The way Austen talks about class, marriage, and personal growth through her characters feels both modern and timeless at the same time.

The themes of the novel—love, pride, and prejudice—are universal. The story shows how easily we can judge others and how growth comes from understanding and letting go of our biases. Every time we read the book, we notice something new, whether it’s a subtle detail or a deeper meaning behind the characters' actions.

In short, Pride and Prejudice is a classic because it’s not just about a romance. It’s about understanding people, recognizing flaws, and seeing how love can bring about change. It’s a book that feels fresh no matter how many times I read it.
