I love the fact that it's a nonfiction book. I love her view on marriage as an institution. And that every marriage is ordained by God. Thank you!

Seems like a good guide for Christian couples. Probably not going to give much to others as it says God is solution to marriage problems.

Couples neglect this aspect of understanding themselves and also fail to see the importance of their finances in their relationships.
- I quite agree. Couples would be better off if they understood these two aspects better, before marriage rather than after. This is also a very useful review. Thank you.

The topic about marriage is one that the majority haven't clearly understood its meaning, which is why there are countless divorces being recorded every year. I find the book to be an insightful guide that will help married couples overcome challenges they may face and form an ideal marriage lifestyle. I will read the book. Congratulations....

Finances are often neglected because it's one of those difficult topics, but that doesn't bode well in the long run. Great to see some unique perspectives in this book.

"My Spouse, My Friend" by Ingiete Oyama highlights the concept of marriage as ordained by God. She emphasised God's original blueprint for marriage and also discussed various perversions targeted at distorting the ideals of marriage according to that plan.
I know the World would have folks believe otherwise, but I firmly believe that marriage is beautiful, especially if you meet that one person who shares the same values on marriage and is willing to work it out with you when it gets tough. Unfortunately, since abuse is inevitable when the use of a thing is not known, the concept of marriage and the core family unit have been threatened by significant ignorance of the original intent of marriage. I think I will try reading this book despite the lapse pointed out.

Your review is very insightful! I sampled this book, and I also liked how the author considers marriage from practical and Biblical standpoints. Unlike you, I have not noticed repetitions you mentioned in the review, but maybe they come up later in the book. I agree that this is a useful read for couples at all stages of their relationship.
