Shouldn't your spouse be your best friend? This is important to consider, because you need to be there for each other through thick and thin. If you do not understand your relationship or do not see eye-to-eye regarding finances, you should consider the advice Ingiete Oyama has to offer. Read "My Spouse, My Friend".

Great review! Thank you for your effort. I also had the pleasure of reading this book, and it profoundly impacted me with its exploration of the nature of marriage. The author convincingly argues that successful marriages are not a matter of luck but are instead built on the foundation of mutual commitment. The idea that both partners must choose to stay and work through challenges together emphasizes the importance of dedication, effort, and a shared determination to overcome obstacles.

My honest opinion, I think books on marriage can help many people, especially in a time when most end in divorce. However, I do disagree that God needs to be added for a successful marriage. But, if this is your belief and you are looking for another perspective to masons your marriage, I hope this book helps.

A very interesting review, I agree with the author. A marriage based on God-given dictates is strong. I have to agree with Elizabeth, repeating points was essential. Marriage in modern times requires a lot of work and respect. Friends, finance, and roles need to be discussed in advance creating a clear road map and lower stress levels. Anyone in a long-term marriage can confirm that there are plenty of things to side-track and wreck a relationship. Be mindful and respectful of the other's feelings and desires.
