Review of Play Golf Better Faster: The Little Golf Bag Book
Play Golf Better Faster: The Little Golf Bag Book by Kalliope Barlis is a book that I recommend that anyone who wants to be a pro golf player should get. The author's explanations of anchoring methods are especially noteworthy. These techniques, rooted in Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) principles, allow golfers to associate positive states of mind with specific physical triggers. This can be invaluable in high-pressure situations, enabling players to quickly access a state of calm, focus, confidence, or enthusiasm. Barlis's explanation of these methods offers a practical way to build mental toughness and emotional control, as they are essential components of a strong golf game.
Golf is as much a mental game as it is physical, and Barlis's strategies for developing psychological resilience are game-changing. From managing pre-shot routines to maintaining composure after a poor shot, the mental game tips in this book can help golfers maintain consistency and overcome the psychological barriers that often cause their performance to decline over time. By introducing these concepts, Barlis provides players who will be reading this book with tools to not just improve their physical game but to cultivate the mental strength needed for consistent performance on the course.
I love that this book is concise, and its well-structured approach gives golfers of all levels a pathway to elevate their game efficiently and effectively. I would like to commend the author of this book for making sure that this book was professionally edited. The editing made reading the book enjoyable and stress-free. While Play Golf Better Faster: The Little Golf Bag Book by Kalliope Barlis is a good recommendation for individual golfers seeking to improve their game, I think it is also an excellent book for golf coaches, particularly those working with new players. Hence, I recommend it to them. There was nothing about the book that I disliked, which is why I am rating it 5 out of 5 stars.
