It has been ten years since Sheldon's disappearance, and Nick has a terrible dream about him. Unbeknownst to him, the other four also had similar dreams, and they all talked about them during their reunion. None of them ever knew what happened to Sheldon; it had haunted them all those years. As adults, they seek answers and dare to venture into the middle reaches to find them. Find out what happens to this group of friends as they dare venture into the supernatural. Read The Middle Reaches (Episodes 1–8) by L. Andrew Cooper.

I like how the author doesn't withhold the content of the plots by branching stereotypical storylines. He delves right into it and haunts the reader's mind with the mysterious disappearance of Sheldon. It was something that I badly wanted to resolve. Ambrose was a character whom I liked among the five, and the initial episode written from his perspective shows why. The kind of thoughts he has about himself make you interested in the character. I find him to be the most realistic of the five.

This book has no errors, as each episode is flawlessly edited. I've read eight episodes to prepare for this review, but I need help because I am far too deep into the plot. There are 50 episodes, and I intend to read them all. The negative aspect of this book is that it has too much graphic content, making it a bit off-putting occasionally.

I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars. It deserves this rating for its thrilling suspense about Sheldon's disappearance. If you are a fan of Netflix's Stranger Things, this book should appeal to you, as it gives off such vibes of the upside-down. However, general fans of horror and suspense can read this book and will find it very interesting.
