The Hermit Gryphon follows Tal’s journey to redeem herself by oppressing the other gryphons. This is a captivating fantasy novel that appeals more to young adult reader. Thank you for explaining the themes of the book, its flow and its illustrations. Also for explaining it can be enjoyed as a standalone novel. Great review

“The Hermit Gryphon” by Paula Grover is a fictional fantasy story set five years after Sunsky became the queen. Talona tried to lie to the citizens about Deathgrip had made her commit atrocities during her reign of terror. Tal was supposed to receive soul healing after she lost her reign but she rebelled and took flight from her father and the Light Healer. When she landed in the Gargoyle’s Scrubland where she met a lone gargoyle just before she was assaulted by many gargoyles. After the attack she could no longer fly she along with that lone gargoyle were deemed outcasts and within hours she was jailed. Can her soul be healed? This is a well-written book that is easy to read and follow the characters, especially seeing things from Tal’s distorted perspective. The story follows Tal’s journey to redeem herself. This sequel definitely deserved a 5 out of 5-star rating.

Sounds like a gripping science fiction tale, however, the storyline seems to be a bit complex that would require one to pay extra attention to catch up with the flow.... I'm not sure I'll read the story... Congratulations on being the BOTD though...
