The names I'm seeing in this book are like biblical names. This seems like a story culled from the Bible. Well, I'll know when I read the book.

Apollo's decision to travel to Giza in other to learn more about civilization as it unfolded before him gives credence to the fact that no human venture can ever quench the thirst of acurious soul. A great review.

Go on a journey with Apollos from Alexandria to Giza to witness the pyramids. Apollos is an intellectual teacher of Christian faith whose perspective on civilization gets readers to think.

This book tells some of the apostles' stories of how they spread the gospel of Jesus, their experiences and the challenges they faced along the way. I enjoy books like those because they shed more light on topics mentioned in the Bible.

This is an interesting review, Briton. I sampled the opening episode as Apollos was marvelling at the pyramids of Giza, and I also liked the comparison of the Egyptian God Ra with his Greek counterpart Helios. Like you, I noticed that Apollos was more interested in civilisation than its specific faucets like maths or languages. I agree that this book is an all-star read!

If there's one thing to learn from Apollos, it is the power of collaborations. Involving Barnabas and John Mark shows that he is willing to collaborate to get things done. Amazing narrative by the author.
