Have you ever met an author in person?

I met the Greek author Anastasia Kalliotzi and she was a delight. Learned about her when one of her books became a tv series on Greek television while I was living in Greece. Then I started ready all her books and attending signings. Unfortunately I think she now stopped writing.

When I was in I think 5th grade, our whole grade had to read the book The Schwa Was Here by Neal Shusterman. I don't usually like reading books assigned for classes, but I remember really enjoying this book. Then Neal Shusterman came to my school to talk about the book. I don't remember a whole lot, but I remember him talking about where he got the idea for this book. It was a cool experience to have a big author like that come talk at our school. I'd love to meet him again now as an adult where I'll probably remember the experience more.

I have met a female author. Her name is Maria V Snyder. I even have a signed copy of one of her novels. Right now it is currently lurking in my wardrobe, somewhere. She has written the Chronicles of Ixia, amongst other books. I also have a signed copy of the Joust novel, written by Mercedes Lackey. The aforementioned novel was a birthday gift from my fantastic best friend, Pennie!

I haven't met Mercedes Lackey. I'd love to though!
