Review of The Date Farm
Can you imagine reading a book with as many actions as the blockbuster movies you watch? Is a novel so that you can have shocks and nightmares about it? The book The Date Farm by Jack Winnick will recreate these experiences for every reader. It is about security intelligence and a secret war between the United States of America and the state of Iran. Sheikh Zainal Abidin, an Iranian mastermind, just completed the deadly attack on the Beverly Hills Mall with his agents killing themselves after executing the orders. He once escaped a disastrous encounter with two FBI and Mossad agents, Lara Edmond and Uri Levin, at the Orange County fight two years before the Beverly Hills massacre.
The two countries were alerted after the event, the US mourning from the heavy loss and planning how to retaliate, and the Iranians rejoicing and planning more deadly attacks. Soon, the president invited Sheikh Zainal Abidin to discuss the upcoming heavy hit on the US. Before giving out the mission intelligence to Sheikh, he firmly warns that it is a top secret. On revealing the content of the operation, he is astonished by the strategies and the long years of preparation. What will be the fate of the two nations? What extent of loss will the US suffer? Will Lara and Uri save their country? Will the ferocity of Sheik destroy him? Readers will find answers in the book.
The Date Farm is a thriller with suspense and action as a road map. It drives the reader to the inherent hatred between the two nations. It examines military intelligence, the long years of work and commitment, the power of determination and belief, the impact of leadership decisions on human lives, and the corrective responsibility that life presents. The writing style stealthily draws the reader to the book. As events unfold, the reader will find it hard to disentangle from the captivating web of the book.
The book is an exceptional and educative read with no negative aspects. The storyline enveloped me, and I found nothing to dislike in the book. The title is a positive aspect as it explains the various relational links in the book. The narrative nature of the book will allow the reader to grasp all the information in the book. The author has an eye for details, which helps the development of the characters. The editing is flawless.
The Date Farm is the fourth in the Lara and Uri series. I like the actions in the book. I would love to read the other book in the series. I would rate the book 5 out of 5 stars. I would recommend it to lovers of action-filled books.
