Icon How does getting paid for reviews work?

Post by electramia »

So I'm new to the forums and I was drawn here due to hearing about the ability of earning free books and money for writing in depth and honest reviews. I do read generously in my spare time and found it absolutely amazing for being able to earn money for something I actually quite love.
Is it through PayPal? Are the books mailed to me or how is it? And it would outstanding if someone can actually explain what exactly I have to do to in order to begin sending and writing and eventually getting paid for reviews. Much appreciated.

Basically, if you didn't read Fran's link, you sign up and, after a book has trickled down to you, you review it and get payment in the form of a free book or a free book and a set amount of money. Payment comes through PayPal and you have to change your preferences to include what ways you want to read a book. You can choose the multiple ways to read an ebook or you can get a traditional book, though most review requests come in the form of ebooks. The only way to make a book reach you faster is to make a lot of posts, every post for a level 0 (anyone who has not reviewed a book) takes 1 hour off of the time that they have to wait to receive notice of a new book review request. A level 0 has to wait 24 hours plus one week to receive notice but that can be brought down to only 24 hours. Hope this helped.

Good to know as I do not have a current pay pal account. I do look forward to reading some new books though.

I tried to click on the link, but it said I am not authorized to read the forum Fran posted. Does anyone know how you get the PayPal account set up to the book review site?
