Insofar as the word 'should' even has meaning, then we must say that the past is exactly as it should be, everything that happened should have happened, and everything that should happen will happen

Yes, I was happy with the clues given. It was just challenging enough without it being too difficult. There were some scenes that surprised me, such as the reason for the meeting in the sketchy part of town, but for the most part, things went how I expected them to.

The lack of a clear solution could be intentional because it shows the real-life uncertainties and complexities of such a search. The suspense in just kept me guess, but clues coming together didn't stick.

Yes, I think the clues were there for us to figure it out along with Richard. We got the information along with him and some of the information we got eventually made it pretty obvious to everyone where Freddie was. The question was if he was alive and what shape he was in.

The clues were good throughout the story. I still thought he was going to be found dead so I was definitely surprised that he was discovered alive and was able to be recovered

We walked along with Spradlin and learned information as he did. I wouldn't say they were clues dropped for readers as much as pieces of information coming together.

“Quest: Finding Freddie: Reflections from the Other Side” by Thomas Richard Spradlin does provide sufficient clues throughout the narrative to help readers guess what might have happened to Freddie. The author skillfully drops hints and details about Freddie’s circumstances and the socio-political environment of 1970s Nigeria, which keep readers engaged and actively trying to piece together the mystery. However, some twists and turns are designed to keep the reader guessing and to maintain suspense, ensuring that the conclusion is both satisfying and somewhat surprising.

I really appreciated the progressive nature of the book and how it continually revealed clues along the way. Early on, it was challenging to understand what had happened, but by about halfway through, I developed a general idea. As I approached the last quarter of the book, I felt more confident in my understanding.

This suspenseful and progressive revelation of clues was a strong point of the book that kept me engaged from beginning to end.
I am an avid reader. I typically read 1-2 books per week. I enjoy a wide array of genres including Sci Fi, Action/Thriller, and Historical Fiction.

As a geologist and christian, I also particularly enjoy books on science and faith.

Right from the start, it was apparent that the disappearance held much more under the surface than could be seen. Spradlin himself suspected this as well. I think the timeline was presented appropriately to help the reader understand the possible motives for abduction. The clues are well placed and digestible to the reader, and allow them to speculate for themselves, while also steering us to the resolution.

I certainly had my guesses and assumptions, some which were spot on, and others that hit a dead end as new information came to light.

The lack of a clear solution may be intentional, reflecting real-life uncertainties and complexities in a search. The suspense kept the reader guessing, but clues didn't stick. The story was challenging but predictable.

The story maintained a steady stream of intriguing clues, yet I remained convinced that the outcome would be tragic, assuming he would meet a fatal end. Therefore, I was thoroughly surprised and relieved when he was found alive and rescued, defying my expectations.

The absence of a straightforward resolution may be a deliberate choice, mirroring the ambiguities and intricacies of real-life searches. The suspense kept me engaged and curious, but the piecing together of clues didn't quite lead to a satisfying conclusion.

The unclear solution may be intentional, reflecting real-life complexities. Suspenseful clues kept me guessing but didn't quite come together convincingly.
