It seems rather normal. The journey of a man and his desire to feel something. It also gets to a part of me that belive in hardwork and resilience. The way protagonist dreams and aims to achieve his dream is really really a one plus. Because in midst of life we forget about dreams. I appreciate the concern of author to write something normal cause normal is standard, sometimes.

The love for our country hits different when we live in other country. Every youth survives the hardship when they land in world on their foot, to study or for work or for anything. This book describes it all.

It is one thing to have a dream and another to work towards achieving it no matter the cost.

I believe this is what this book is trying to educate us on.

Determination, hard work, and perseverance were the attributes I grasped from the protagonist Cyrus A just after reading the few free sampled chapters. His determination, if I can say, was definitely inherited from his father, as he also worked hard to provide the life the protagonist and his siblings had.
This book showcases the struggles he went through as an immigrant and how he made sure to live out his dreams and not just imagine them. He was determined to be as established as his older brother, 'Hugh'(as he wished to call him)
This is honestly a must-read! I have a hunch it'll leave anyone feeling extremely motivated and determined

I love the concept of Odyssey of High Hopes: An Immigrant’s Tale Of Sacrifice, Courage, and Love by Cyrus A. Ansary. It takes a country that looks after its citizens to a considerable extent to have someone this patriotic. I love his persistence in achieving his dream.

From a sampling, this seems like an interesting memoir about Cyrus A. Ansary as he overcame numerous challenges to come to America and became an American citizen. It might be worth a second look. Well done.

One thing to take from protagonist Cyrus is that for any dream to come to fruition, hard work, determination, and perseverance have to be put in. I like his selfless action to work to improve his native country's economy despite living abroad. Congratulations!
