I just finished this book. I admired Cyrus referring many times to his thankfulness for what his father taught him throughout his life. I also was impressed that a teenager could be determined to make his dream true. To leave home and go halfway around the world and be successful is just amazing. I loved everything about this book.

Life is aimless without goals and ambitions. Also, the goals are aimless without determination. I hope to see Cyrus achieves his goals. Nice review.

Wow, such a heartfelt review! Your journey through "Odyssey of High Hopes" sounds inspiring. The author's perseverance and patriotism are truly admirable. Thanks for sharing!

Furthermore, I'm particularly interested in learning more about the author's experiences with racism and self-centeredness, as you mentioned. It's unfortunate that these issues are so prevalent today. I'm curious to know how the author navigated these challenges and what lessons he learned along the way.
