A Realistic Path to Peace by Dee Knight is a non-fiction political book that discusses some of the most pressing and controversial international conflicts. The book seeks to identify root causes and offers practical solutions for peace.

In this book, the author argues that our foreign policy prioritizes corporate interests over human needs, causing a cycle of violence. The book examines various conflicts, including Israel-Palestine and Ukraine-Russia, highlighting growing opposition to US-influenced aggression. This book examines and critiques our neoliberalism, sanctions, and the war economy, arguing that these policies have failed to achieve their goals and instead driven adversaries like Russia and China closer together. The book promotes a new political approach that prioritizes peace, social justice, and human needs over corporate interests. By challenging the status quo, the author offers a realistic path to peace, encouraging readers to think critically about the consequences of US foreign policy and the need for a more just and peaceful world.

There are many things I liked about this book. This author clearly invested a significant amount of time in research, which was important given the controversial positions he takes. Initially, I found myself strongly disagreeing with several points, particularly his views on Israel, the U.S. "War Machine" in global conflicts, and the comparison between our democracy and that in China. However, as I continued reading, the book gradually shifted my perspective on many issues by presenting solid facts and well-structured arguments. It does well to expose the global dangers of neoliberalism and highlight the hypocrisy of our government in various international policies. Additionally, the book is fearless in offering necessary solutions to the problems it discusses. The language used was very clear and easy to follow. And I have no criticisms regarding this book.

I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars for all the reasons stated above. I recommend this book to lovers of international politics and to those seeking a real path to world peace.

This review is great, a political book is one thing, a political book with solutions is another.
