"The Keepers" by Michael D. Komeshak presents the unique and intriguing premise of a boy named Jonas who, due to his conception under a full moon, is not only born on Earth but also exists in duplicate on eight other planets. As he sleeps, he 'dream treks' to these other planets, experiencing the different cultures and realities of each one, leading to a journey that transcends the boundaries of space. The story takes an even more dramatic turn when the government discovers Jonas's unique abilities and takes him and his family for experimentation. The emotional depth of the characters adds a powerful layer to the story, as Jonas’s parents struggle with their desire to protect their son while navigating the challenges of their new reality.

The author masterfully crafts a page-turning narrative that keeps the reader interested and guessing at every turn. The concept of dream trekking is fascinating and adds a unique twist to the traditional space exploration story. One thing I must commend is the author’s style of writing. His vivid writing style draws the reader into the story, painting a rich and detailed picture of Jonas's world. The author's attention to detail and masterful use of language not only bring the story to life but also transport the reader into a world of wonder and mystery. I also loved the character development over the course of this story. Surprisingly, I found my favorite character to be Bert. I loved how intentional he was about improving himself.

However, while the concept of Jonas's abilities is fascinating, some readers may find the scientific explanations a bit too complex or far-fetched. Therefore, I recommend this book to those interested in exploring the mysteries of the universe and the fascinating possibilities of interplanetary existence. I rate this book a 5 out of 5.

From the review of "The Seekers" I felt the book being a real life story due to the way it was plotted out. It has real characters like the Government coming in to experiment the young boy with his family after discovering his Uniqueness. Though yet to read the book but the review got me fascinated already. Thanks anyway.

People really like “The Keepers” because it tells a sad story but also tries to find out what really happened. It shows how important it is for people to speak up against wrong things, especially when they happen in places where you’d expect them to be safe.
Overall, if you’re into mysteries or true stories that make you think, “The Keepers” could be something worth checking out!

This novel's central idea is fascinating and seems well-developed. I hope the part about the government acting evil and experimenting on Jonas is not stereotypical. Thank you for your great review!

Someone living in eight other planets must be fascinating, that is in the case that life all existed in them. Then comes the sad part of the government's interference. "The Keepers" is the kind of book I want to know what happens in the end, and if Jonas also had "siblings" like him too. Great review.

I have not heard before of dream trekking and want to read the book now to find out how Jonas can exist on multiple planets. Am also curious who is Bert. I do feel Jonas' parents having their sons' well-being as their priority.

Great review!
The concept of dream trekking is fascinating and adds a unique twist to the traditional space exploration story.
I agree! I’m a lifelong lucid dreamer (who’s looked into dream symbolism/interpretation plenty of times), who also finds the idea of alternate universes fascinating. This book sounds like a fresh play on all of this and that is definitely something I could get into.

The plot seems well thought out and executed. It’s always exciting to have an actual government being involved in a story.. it adds a compelling dimension. Thanks for the good review.

The storyline fascinated me.
To travel/live/experience while asleep sounds intriguing. I hope the boy and his family are not mistreated or feared but are supported. I look forward to reading this book to find out about the parents Bert and Abby as the father is mentioned in the review.

You saying that it is not just Jonas's journey but also the parents journey to protect him, makes me want to read this. As a parent to a 12 year old boy myself, I feel like I would be able to relate with the parents (or get really angry with how they react).
