I like the new cover more. A lot of thought was put into it and the Pandora box, color scheme, design patterns, and everything blends well together.

I like the new, dark cover better, it seems to fit the theme of the book well.

The second cover is better, in my opinion. The contrast of color between the background and the box enhances the image's effect in a very eye-catching way.

The new cover is definitely the better version. The color theme, design and text develop intrigue and mystery.

I love the actual dark cover. It makes it so dramatic and kind of brings up the tension of the story. The texture makes it feel even more real and gives it a more serious undertone.

I prefer the cover with the dark background. The color scheme, graphics , and font style all suggest fantasy and mystery. Even without reading the blurb , the cover art and catchy title suggest the genre. As a result, it will instantly draw the attention of the intended audience.

The dark one is much better in my opinion as it aligns with the theme of the book well. Also it makes everything on the cover look appealing.

The darker cover feels more true to the book. It also looks better in my opinion. The dark cover is also the one that drew me to the book so I definitely prefer that one.

I usually like white backgrounds but for this one the darker one looks so much better. Other than the color, the enhanced graphic of the main picture also makes the newer cover much better and suitable for the book.

By far the new cover. it has more depth to it, suggesting the mystery and fantasy that's in the book. The original cover looks almost like it's a throwaway attempt, and doesn't offer anything inviting for the reader.

The new cover is definitely better, it's just more detailed, with a better contrast of colors between the box and it's background. I didn't know there were multiple covers! Thank you for sharing!
I am an avid reader. I typically read 1-2 books per week. I enjoy a wide array of genres including Sci Fi, Action/Thriller, and Historical Fiction.

As a geologist and christian, I also particularly enjoy books on science and faith.

Particularly in this suspenseful and dark magic tale, I always like a black background since it draws the subject out much more. Both the smoke and the box's "fluorescence" stand out more against the darkness. Everything appears more enigmatic.

Since the first includes more battle scenes and a darker color scheme, I think it better represents the book's subject.

I like the new cover better. The white cover is good at showing the concept for the new cover, but the darker cover has more of an impact, and I think it is true that more people gravitate to colours rather than white.

I think I would not be the only one to say this but I like the newest cover more than the simplistic white cover. It looks less like a cover and more like a doodle. I would enjoy it if a book looks more like a book.
