The themes I discovered from the book are that of self discovery and personal growth. As the main characters are in a quest to finding Freddie, it brings out some of their weaknesses which they must embrace.

I will say the theme of courage as exemplified by Richard who despite knowing the dangers he was likely to face by going back to Nigeria, he still went.

The author's adaptability stood out for me. Although he was just a lawyer and Freddie's case wasn't his, he was still able to fit into the role when it arises. That was most admirable to me.

In the book Quest: Finding Freddie , the theme of determination and resilience stood out the most for me as Spradlin showed a lot of determination, traveling over seas and going through a lot of difficulties to find Freddie against all odds.
