In Winning the War on Cancer: The Epic Journey Towards a Natural Cure, Sylvie Beljanski shared the journey and dedication of her father, Dr. Mirko Beljanski, a molecular biologist whose pioneering work in natural cancer treatments defied the conventions of his time. In this book, we get to see her father's professional triumphs and personal setbacks. The author went further to talk about the darker underbelly of the pharmaceutical industry and the insidious machinations of corporations driven by profit motives, exposing the lengths to which they will go to maintain their stand on the market, even at the expense of human lives.

I love that this book is not a boring memoir as it contains personal stories, scientific insights and research, and good lessons about those who dare to challenge the status quo, such as Sylvie Beljanski's father. I was in awe when the author talked about the president, who was diagnosed with prostate cancer. Her father was helpful, and the result made a great deal of difference.

The author revealed a lot of things in this book that are both eye-opening and sobering, serving as a reminder of the importance of vigilance and advocacy in the pursuit of true healing. I can't think of anything that needs improvement in this book. Even though the scientific terms were a bit challenging for me at first, I eased into it with time. Looking them up online for more information also helped me understand the book more. Hence, there is nothing that I disliked about the book that would make me reduce the rating. Hence, I am rating it 5 out of 5 stars.

The people who will find this book most helpful are those in the medical field and those who like looking into unconventional medical options. The book will help them widen their horizons to see many of the possibilities in medicine. Hence, I would recommend the book to them. Finally, the book was professionally edited.
