Whenever I think on what has become the present image of the United States in relation to the glory she enjoyed and the influence she had in the past, I can't help but think that this book: "American Papers: My love letters to America" by Jayme Alencar de Oliveira Filho is a wake-up call to the people of the United States. How will she regain her glory if not by reconsidering it foundations as set up by its founding fathers. This review has explained this book in very profound words. Thanks.

Lovely review! What a timely book choice! As we can never get a break from the ongoing chaos (good or bad) occurring on both national and global levels, all while on the brink of another election, we all need to take some quality time for honest reflection.

The reviewer begins with noting that America has had to deal with many issues in different phases of her existence. The way these issues have been dealt with makes America stand out among othe countries.
However, there is a lament that in this generation, there seems to be a sharp decline in the consciousness of who Americans are and the long journeys that have shaped their country and existence.
The review highlights that the discourse in the book aims to revamp the American spirit and inculcate the American values and ideals.
This is quite a good review that raises curiosity to read the book

I'm glad this book is somewhat provocative in voice and encourages us to think about problems all the while enforcing the things Americans can be proud of about their history. It seems to be an interesting read and I got curious about it.

Today's BOTD is a nonfiction book that's both educational and inspiring. Filled with historical events and people who helped shape our nation and others who have contributed to the America we know today, readers will walk away more informed, while feeling a sense of pride in what we, as a whole, have accomplished. Thank you so much; I've added this to my WTR list! :-)

Author Jayme hopes to revive the American spirit; the spirit that was defining and made it stand out. The book covers concerns regarding governance and the declining consciousness of the population. With love and hope for the motherland the book is a must-read for patriots of any country. Very well-written review!

The first reviewers views were interesting, but they did not concentrate on the review of the book. They started out with how they feel America, and Americans have declined over the years.
I had to read others reviews to actually find out more about the content of the book American Papers. From other reviews I think that it would be a great, thought provoking read, that would make the reader really take a good look at all that America once was and what it is becoming.
:eusa-think: Teach a child to read, and they can go anywhere and be anything within the pages of a book.

It is refreshing to see a book that goes back and examines the values that our forefathers worked for and shows that today's trends of hatred, discrimination, greed, and politics will be our downfalls. Thank you for your informative review.
