I’m not sure this book is best suited for my interests. I’m not very keen on reading about America at the moment as I see the country is every book I read or tv show I see. I hope it reaches its intended audience. Congrats on the BOTD!

The mention of 'American Poem' and reflections on figures like Thomas Jefferson and Francis Scott Key hooked me. This review makes it clear that 'American Papers' is both educational and inspiring.

This book captures the resilience of the American spirit, and the devotion that has propelled millions to succes. The author speaks against hatred, discrimination, greed, and divisive politics. The book covers the contributions of Thomas Jefferson, the sacrifices of the Continental Army, and the patriotic acts of Francis Scott Key.

This book appears to be primarily aimed at helping Americans rediscover their strengths, while helping readers in general understand what it means to be American.

I hope this book can help Americans who they are. There has indeed been a steady decline in the American society for some years now. The book sounds like a pleasant one and the poem in it (American Poem) seems to be a delightful one.

As a non-American I must say that this sounds like an interesting read. I am mostly curious to find out why Americans are the way they are... And it would be interesting to find out about the history of the country.

Hi @Nerea, I just read your comments on the official review of "“American Papers: My Love Letters to America” and while I agree that the author is concerned about the wellness of the American Dream, I think there was much more to gain by reading this book. The hate speech threats to political opponents, taking away women's rights, not protecting democracy in other countries, allowing our democracy to deteriorate since 2016, losing U.S. status among other countries and many other facts should have been mentioned. If the wrong candidate wins in November we could become a dictatorship, the Constitution could be destroyed, and we will no longer have free speech, the deporting of legal immigrants and the strengthening of white supremacy are areas that could have been explored in your comments. @Mrlefty0706
