Are you someone who finds the Bible difficult to read and understand? William Davis has summarized the Old and New Testaments in this short book with clear and concise explanations. The Old Testament tells of the genealogical line leading up to Jesus’s birth and how their faith in God helped them, and the New Testament speaks of Jesus’s life, death, and resurrection. Although we are all sinners, we can gain salvation if we make the right choice. What is your choice? Read The History of Jesus: The Bible in a Nutshell by William Davis to learn what you must do to gain salvation and live a better life.

William Davis wrote this book to make people want to read the Bible, and I believe he has succeeded. He certainly increased my interest in reading more of the Bible. I commend William Davis for his writing style, which made this book seem like a story, not a sermon. One of my favorite lessons in this book was that it is impossible to hide from God because He knows what is in my heart. It was interesting to see how Jesus viewed money and why God sent His only son to die for our sins instead of an angel. This book may help many people learn that more than having faith is needed to live a Christian life and gain salvation. Each biblical character is fully developed, and their roles are thoroughly explained.

There was nothing I disliked about this well-written and professionally edited book. Each chapter and part flows smoothly to the next. There was no reason for me to deduct any stars, which justifies giving this book a rating of 5 out of 5 stars. I enjoyed reading it, and it increased my interest in reading the Bible, which I am ashamed to admit I have only read certain parts of.

This book is for Christians only because it summarizes the Bible. Anyone who does not believe in, or is not interested in, God should avoid this book. However, if you believe in God and want to learn more about the Bible and what it teaches us, you should grab a copy of this book.

Congrats on BOTD!
Although the book is geared toward Christians, people who are seeking insight may find it intriguing and beneficial. For those who do not have the time or patience to study the entire Bible, this is a paraphrased substitute.

For some people though they are christians they may find it hard to read the bible,so the book will help them understand the bible and thus enhance their christian life. The book combines both the new testament and old testament and so it's a good book to curious non-christians who also find it hard to read the bible but want to know what it contains. The author made it easier for many people and that's so interesting. And from the review it's like the author made the book simple for reading for those who find it hard to understand some concepts in the bible.

When I was little, I tried understanding certain things from the bible. I do stand and look out of the window in my room to the clouds to imagine what is really up there. I questioned many biblical concepts like creation, salvation, forgiveness, rapture, but none made sense to me. I was never satisfied and my parents couldn't answer me talk more of my siblings. I knew the answers were in the Bible but I just couldn't get them out.

Well, when I grew up, I made many private studies but after coming to a conclusion, the next week, I'll come across a Bible verse that obviously antagonises my previous conclusion. I got real tired. It was like studying without a compass, I knew I needed a guide but I just couldn't get hold of one. My point is, I wish I had this book all along.

The author clearly simplifies the Bible, old testament and new testament, with equal concern, more like a simplifying summary, while clearly stating that the book doesn't replace the Bible, but is just a guide to whet ones appetite. I'd have loved if the reviewer stated that the book doesn't in anyway serve the purpose of the Bible. The simple and straightforward writing style was highlighted by the reviewer as well as the fact that the book doesn't sound like a sermon, a very easy to follow narrative.

The reviewer also pin-pointed specific things that the author wrote about especially the specific concept of Jesus as God incarnate, not an angel nor a man. The possibility of the author attaining his purpose of this book which is whetting readers appetite to read more of the Bible, was also underscored by the reviewer, showing how useful this book can be to its readers.

I generally enjoyed the review, I just wished the reviewer would have clearly stated that it doesn't in any way replace the Bible. I say this because, it is very possible for readers to replace the Bible for this book. Nice review anyway.

In reality, the Bible has always had this complication in reading due to its slightly unintelligible translations, or because publishers want to stick to literal translations, which means that readers cannot fully understand the scriptures. It's good that William Davis brings us this simple and easy-to-understand interpretation, to know that we must act with heart and not with lies because God knows each person's heart. Furthermore, money is not everything; It helps us a little to be able to obtain what we need in this world. But the true essence is in doing good acts of love and charity with the people we encounter in our journey.

I appreciate how this review highlights the clarity and accessibility of William Davis's writing. It’s so hard to find summaries that feel meaningful, and the way he explains the roles of biblical figures sounds amazing. It’s inspiring to hear that this book increased the reviewer’s interest in exploring the Bible further.

Religious books are not my cup of tea but the review is well written. The author combined the Old and the New Testaments and presented them in short in the form of a story that will definitely interest and attract people. Congratulations on becoming BOTD!
