The reviewer appreciates the depth and logic presented, especially its grounding in substantial references like the Catechism of the Catholic Church. The book’s strength lies in its ability to explain complex theological ideas in a clear, accessible way, though some readers might find its depth challenging. With high praise for its editing and thoughtful presentation, the reviewer rates it 5 out of 5 stars and recommends it to those interested in theology and faith.

At first, when I sampled the book, I was unsure if it would be something I would like to read. I read the introduction and my first thought was that this might challenge my faith. But your review cleared a few things for me and I would keep the book on my shelf for a later read.

When it comes to books that address important issues in the world today, they are usually very valuable. Indignus Servus has done Christians a favor by bringing this book into existence, a work that presents a unique solution to the problem of suffering in the context of an all-loving and all-powerful God. He provides a logical answer while remaining aligned with Christian orthodoxy. Based on reviews, he achieved this remarkably, and it’s a huge congratulations on Book of the Day!

This compelling treatise offers insights into some of the most perplexing problems of human existence, including those related to love and suffering, by arguing from a Christian theological perspective. It will contribute to the existing repertoire of works on this subject.

I’m impressed by how The Advent of Time blends theology, faith, and love to tackle such a difficult question. The focus on selflessness and genuine relationships adds so much meaning to the topic. It’s refreshing to see a book with such a well-researched foundation that engages readers on multiple levels.

Evil and pain, time and suffering are all controversial concepts in life. Yet, justice, faith, and love make it more debatable and the book interestingly shows that even evil might hide some good within. The matter is that we can't know it unless after a while and this is the essence of its wisdom.

I appreciate how you highlighted the book's balance of Christian orthodoxy with logical reasoning. That's a tricky line to walk, and it sounds like the author did a good job of it. The focus on love and relationships as central to human existence is interesting to me also.

Anyone interested in exploring the intersection of theology and philosophy should get this book, and I believe this book will prompt readers to reconsider their view of suffering.

Hi @Desireé Vd Westhuizen, I just read your comments on the official review of “The Advent of Time” by Indignus Servus and I appreciate your feeling about the book challengingg you religious beliefs. I am a devout Catholic and I believe in an all loving God. I found the book examines the problem of suffering in a world created by an all-loving and all-powerful God. The book thoroughly covers the subjects of pain and free will. Atheists do not believe in God for a number of reasons including why would God allow people to suffer on Earth? Why are people born with handicaps? Why do people suffer and die from diseases? Some people believe that suffering in some creates spiritual growth in others. “The book states that the primary purpose of human existence is to experience love with God and one another.” Being a devout Catholic I do believe in an all-loving God and the existence of Heaven. We are given free will to decide how we live our lives. I do believe that evil exists because Satan is active on Earth, and he helps create evil. This is a very thought-provoking book that should be read by Christians, Jews, Muslims, Buddhists and other religions that all believe in God. Atheists would also benefit from reading this book and some may come back to believing in God. @mrlefty0706

Hi @Gerry Steen, I just read your comments on the official review of “The Advent of Time” by Indignus Servus and I like your brief summary. I always try to provide members with a review that will motivate them to read the book.
