Great evaluation, well explained so that there is no doubt for those who will read it! But even so, to understand how our mentality works in the face of today's technologies, social networks, among others, it is worth trying to understand the book. Because people, children and adolescents are getting sick because of this technology and closing themselves off from the world. Thank goodness ...

This book looks incredibly timely! In an age where technology impacts every aspect of our lives, including our mental health, Reconceptualizing Mental Illness in the Digital Age sounds like a must-read. I'm intrigued by the concept of 'techno-pathologies' and how digital culture shapes our minds.

We can learn a lot about mental health by exploring the history of how mental health has been treated and how the state of mental health has changed over time with the pervasiveness of digital control. Elliott B. Martin, Jr. explains mental health and backs it up with thorough research.

I can understand why would it be hard to read just by the title of the book. But I am interested in the topic so I hope I can read this book someday.

I've read one of the author's books before. The one about the virtuous physician. The "book", like the one I read, is more of an academic article with many pages. Science, philosophy, and academia combine. This one is about the digital age, and I bet the scholars have a lot to say about the issues it has birthed. Congrats on winning BotD!
I write the best reviews possible. :idea2:

It would be interesting to learn how the digital age affects our mental health, as many people use it for communication instead of face-to-face conversations. Thank you for your informative review.

It's good that you pointed out just because the book has a lot of big words, it doesn't make it great to read. But I guess to a really dedicated reader , it wouldn't really matter. The topics the book covers are enlightening and eye-opening. It shows negative aspects of the internet, also known as World Web. It's east to forget that the internet, like many other creations, is like a double-edged sword. We should keep that in mind every time we use it.

This book seems important for today’s world but as it is mentioned in the review if the words are so big it will be hard for the beginners to read. Congrats on BOTD…

The subject matter discussed is surely of interest. It delves into the deteriorating mental well-being of individuals who find solace in a world of fantasy. It appears that with simple wording, the book could become more easily understandable. Your review is informative. Thanks.

"Reconceptualizing Mental Illness in the Digital Age" by Elliott B. Martin, Jr explores the history and development of mental health and the contemporary problems in mental health to social media. The book is mentioned to be well-researched. However, the author's writing style and his excessive use of complex vocabulary may pose a challenge to some readers.

The book offers practical reasons for these illnesses, but does not seem to go deep enough. Congratulations on BOTD!

"Reconceptualizing Mental Illness in the Digital Age" by Elliott B. Martin, Jr. addresses mental problems caused by the digital age. I must confess that they are numerous and it's great that someone is looking into this matter. I suggest a revised version of the book so that readers can find it more educative and interesting. Congrats on BOTD. Great review.

This book offers a perceptive examination of mental health in the technologically advanced world of today. The book deftly makes the connection between mental health problems and excessive use of digital technology through a special fusion of psychiatric analysis and historical background. Congrats on BOTD.

Congrats on BOTD.
It is worthwhile to take the time to read a thoroughly researched book on mental health. There are a lot of worthwhile arguments raised, and using digital media constantly can occasionally have negative impacts.
