Review of Mayhem and Solace
Mayhem and Solace: The Dark War by Caleb Birch is the fictional story of a skilled, talented, and exceptional warrior who is renowned for his heroic roles in the previous battles fought within his community and even beyond. But along the way, he had to choose between love and his passion.
Who is this great man? What made him a hero? Did he choose love over his passion and purpose? Or was it the other way around? What was his fate? You'll get to know that in this highly inspiring and adventurous book.
My favorite characters are Ramsay's friends turned family. I mean Chase, Eldon, and Kaela. These are must-haves for every leader whose desire is to fulfill purpose and whose quest is to move mountains, break barriers, and do the impossible so the led can have better lives in the present and secure lives in the future. They are indeed the true definition of friends because they are friends in need.
Even with the suspense and excitement accompanying reading this wonderful book, I still had a moment where I almost got my ribs cracked. This part was when Ramsay complimented the Gazaunsee's unique skills and tricks; his reaction really got me laughing out loud. I mean, how he puffed out his chest in pride. I could only imagine what he looked like doing that. What a funny creature!!!!!
This book is for everyone who loves adventure and is open to learning. This book has a lot of lessons scripted in it regarding leadership, relationships, teamwork, family, love, passion, and purpose, just to mention a few.
A leader has people to lead. Leadership is an act and an art as well. The act requires leading by example, while the art requires wisdom, courage, determination, selflessness, and the ability to identify people’s strengths and apply them where and when needed.
Not only that, we all need people in our lives who would stand with and by us when the battle rages, who would hold us while our strength fails, encourage us when we feel burdened by the weight of responsibility, people who would push us and keep doing that without losing hope even when we do. These are really the best gifts a person can ever have in life because, with them, the journey becomes easier and no mountains will be insurmountable. Do you have them in your life? Or are you one to someone?
This book is highly informative and educational. It's a very inspiring book with a lot of life lessons to learn and apply to our day-to-day lives.
I commend the author for a job well done; the pages were well-numbered, and no typographical error was detected while reading this book.
I am rating this book 5 out of 5 because I found nothing to dislike in it.
