What did you think of the cover of this book?

I am confused how the Golden Gate Bridge conveys any of the stories themes, though. Can you clarify what you mean? I suppose bridges can represent a journey and the choices made along it, such as whether to cross the bridge or not and the impact that has on a person's life, metaphorically.

However, I do not feel that the cover conveys the romance element of the story. I think including Vanessa, perhaps facing Tod Von Westerkamp but looking over her shoulder, would improve the cover, rather than including the birth certificate on the cover.

At first the cover doesn't make sense, especially as you explore Vanessa's life in the South and her connections there. Once she is an adult and sheds that life it makes a lot more sense. However, I think it would have been more interesting and complex to add a few southern landmarks into the fog surrounding the bridge, as a nod to her childhood and continued connection with the South.

I actually really liked the cover of this book! I loved how it had elements from the story on it, but didn't really give it away. I also liked the color scheme of the book. Like the cover states, the color choices are a "deceptive calm", because I feel it doesn't really picture the turmoil of the book. All in all, I enjoyed the cover a lot!
