Review of Shadows in the Snow
Love is such a beautiful thing, especially when it is found in a person who protects you and makes you feel safe. It’s like your own warm blanket against the harsh cold. Shadows in the Snow by Dollie May is a romantic and suspenseful novel that describes how love can conquer any odds thrown in its way.
Emily got home to find her house broken into and vandalized by the same stalker who had been attacking her for months. She decided to reach out to her late father’s best friend, Damian, who took her in for safety purposes. However, they got attracted to each other, and with each day, their attraction grew. The stalker was still on the prowl, devising new ways to hurt Emily. Damian, devoted to protecting his best friend’s daughter, pledged to be there for her through it all. But how do they navigate this complicated, new-found attraction towards each other? Will Emily defeat her stalker and be free again? Read this book to find out.
I really enjoyed reading this book. It was a beautiful story of love, filled with so much warmth and affection. I loved how caring and protective Damian was of Emily, which sets the standard for relationships. I loved how ready he was to sacrifice anything for her happiness and comfort. I enjoyed how the emotions of the characters were beautifully pieced together, making it such a warm reading experience. I particularly loved how Emily was able to inspire and help others out of her horrible experience. I was cheering her all the way in my head. It was a really beautiful read.
There was nothing I disliked about this book. I really loved the brief nature of the book and the beautiful story of how love overcomes all difficulties. The author’s writing style, which included writing from the view of the two major characters, was very interesting and enjoyable, allowing readers to see things from both lenses. It was an enjoyable read.
Overall, I rate this book five out of five stars because it was an engaging read. The book was expertly edited, and I found no form of error while reading it. Due to its explicit sexual content, it is not suitable for young readers. I wholeheartedly recommend it to adult readers looking for a good suspense and romantic novel with erotic content.
