I love a fun murder mystery. Shucked up by Leelon Edward’s seems like a good one. I like when there are clues for me to follow, as like everyone else who likes mysteries, I love trying to solve them. This seems like great read, and I can’t wait for the next rainy day. Thank you for your review, it is nicely done!♥️

Winter is coming and I am so not ready since I am not a winter person, but this book will definitely add suspense to this winter season. It will be such a pleasure to read all the series.

I'm so glad you enjoyed Shucked Up! I completely agree—Edwards did a fantastic job weaving in clues without making it too easy to guess the culprit. I loved how the tension kept building, especially when Mack got poisoned—talk about a plot twist! And Alex’s storyline was such a hidden gem, wasn’t it? The way he’s so meticulous in his daily routine made the whole boat incident even more personal. I also found the Florida setting really atmospheric—it felt like I could almost taste the salty air and hear the clink of oyster shells! Definitely a great pick for mystery lovers.

I liked how you highlighted the balance between the clues and twists in the mystery. You made it clear that there’s a fun challenge for readers who enjoy trying to solve the case as they go. It’s great that you pointed out how the author sprinkled clues throughout the story without giving too much away—that makes it sound even more intriguing for mystery fans!

Shucked Up by Leelon Edwards is a gripping murder thriller that features a colorful Florida setting and plenty of ingenious twists. Drew and Mack investigate the possibility that tainted oysters could pose a threat to the region's seafood business. For readers of crime fiction, this book is indispensable.

It is a very enjoyable review. The book sounds like a good murder mystery, and I think that I will put it on my list. At first glance, I thought that the book was about oyster recipes. Shucked Up sounds like not only a good mystery but also a fun one.

A well-crafted murder mystery with engaging twists and rich character development. The plot balances subtle clues with surprises, while a secondary storyline adds depth. Vivid Florida setting and authentic local stakes make it an enjoyable, atmospheric read.

I found the review captivating because the reader seemed to have been taken back virtually to Florida. The review describes the setting of the book to be equivalent to be a tour guide book, which makes the book an excellent read, taking the reader right in the middle of the scenes as if one was there first hand. It is mentioned that “ the character development is superb”...I have never been to Florida but as per description, the book might give me a satisfactory glimpse of it. Solving murder mysteries not for me. Good review though.

I love mysteries, and sometimes we need a light-hearted one. I never would have imagined oysters could cause such a melee!

What a lovely review, Laney! I sampled the opening chapter introducing JJ as he witnessed the sudden death of his patron Bryan McAdams on a fishing boat just as they lost the catch of a huge bass. I have yet to meet Mack, Drew and Alex and connect the death of McAdams to the raw oyster disease and seafood industry you mention in the review. But I loved the suspenseful first chapter. I agree that it feels like a perfect murder mystery read.
