The book is a gripping and interesting murder mystery. The plot is full of thrill and suspense. Would like to start from the first book in the series. Nice review!

Thanks for a free copy! My attention was caught by the yummy oysters on the cover lol. I didn't start the series from the beginning but if this book is a standalone then ill start with it. Nice review.

Sounds like a very enjoyable murder mystery set on the Florida coast.
Great for the imagination while trying to untangle the clues from the red herrings!

The irony of life is that the things we need to survive do not look like we need them at face value. Imagine a disease-carrying oyster being what is needed to save lives. I am itching to see how this miracle or magic (whichever one applies) happens.

The suspense in this book makes it even more interesting for me. I can see myself following the clues and solving the case along with the author. It also seems as though the story revolves around many characters, each with an interesting life. With murder, mystery, and drama, it seems like readers are in for quite a ride. "Shucked Up" by Leelon Edwards is the third book in the series, but it can be read as a stand-alone without any problems. Mack is poisoned and Drew needs to find out who targeted his friend. I like that the book is full of unexpected twists and clues.

The murder mystery in this book is excellent. I thought that Edwards did an amazing job of threading clues throughout the novel without being too obvious. Eagle-eyed readers might be able to solve the case before the big reveal, which can be quite fun. I thought there was a nice balance between unexpected twists and logical clues to follow as I read along.
